STUDIES

Monday Bible Study, 10:30 - 12 pm, in room 120 - Dedicated to learning and growing together through biblical studies and books by a variety of spiritual authors along with lively discussions. Equally important is the loving fellowship we share.

  • Current Study: Soul Keeping: Caring For the Most Important Part of You by John Ortberg
  • Anxiety. Depression. Fear. Loneliness. These are all symptoms of a soul that has lost touch with its source of life. Like a flower snipped from the vine, the soul that is not turned toward God can only wither away. In Soul Keeping, bestselling author John Ortberg sheds light on the most overlooked, underrated, and least-understood part of your being. With a workable and relevant approach, he shows how living the "with God" life isn't just a good idea--it's the only way to find lasting peace and satisfaction.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study, 9:30 am-11:00 am, 1st and 3rd Tuesdays in Room 120 - We break down the books of the Bible, enjoy light refreshment and always welcome new women to join us!

  • Current Study: New Testament Characters; a Life Guide Study Book
  • A throwaway woman who is redeemed by Christ. A blind beggar who is given sight. A doubting disciple who discovers faith. A jailer who is freed from internal prisons. These are some of the ordinary people - some never even mentioned by name - who were touched by Jesus. Through their stories you will meet the Savior as well.

Tuesday 5:30 Bible Study; 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm; Room 120.  We are a women’s small group who support and care for one another. Dr. Tim McQuade takes us through various sermon and Bible topics to better understand and apply God’s word to our daily lives. Everyone is welcome to learn and join in on the discussion!

  • Current Study: The book of Romans.

Tuesday Harmony Circle, 7-8:30 pm, Third Tuesday of the month in Room 120;  September - June Harmony Circle is a group of women who come together once a month to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ and enjoy the fellowship of one another. We are a diverse group that includes women working outside the home and some that have reached retirement age. Our lesson includes a video session and we allow plenty of time for discussion as well as sharing prayer needs and praises. Throughout the year we find different ways to serve, such as, providing dinner to IHN guest, and hosting fundraising drives to support causes near and dear to us. Our Circle always has room to grow!

  • Current Study: He Speaks To Me: Preparing to Hear form God by Priscilla Shirer
  • Priscilla relates six characteristics found in Samuel that are applicable to women today as they tune their hearts to hear God's voice. By listening to God's voice and obeying Him, women will be drawn into a closer relationship to God that brings a deeper desire to serve Him faithfully.

Wednesday Bible Study, 9:30 am - 11:15 am, in Room 120 September-May, child care provided when signed up ahead of time. This Bible Study has a wonderful mix of ladies. We have women in their 30's up to women in their 90's. Many go to SPC and many go to other churches. Many have a lot of Bible knowledge and many are beginners. It is a great group of women that are loving, encouraging and all share the desire to draw closer to Jesus and learn more about Him. We always welcome new members to the group!

  • Current Study: Hosea by Jennifer Rothschild
  • Hosea, an Old Testament prophet, preached his own life message using his marriage as the sermon illustration. The book will challenge us with judgement but it will show us the kind of love we dream about. Be amazed by the love of Hosea for his wayward spouse - and more amazed by the unfailing love of God for His wayward people, and for all people. Hosea showers us with hope - hints and portents pointing to the coming of the promised Messiah..
