Children's Ministries

Sycamore Presbyterian Church is committed to providing a consistent, quality, reliable and safe learning environment for our children and those of our visitors and guests.

We believe that Christian nurturing is vital to the growth and development of all children and our Children's Ministry Team works to provide opportunities to build Christian relationships in an environment in which children can develop their faith.

Sunday School

Christian nurturing and teaching are at the heart of our Sunday School program. We welcome children from nursery age through sixth grade to join our dedicated volunteer teachers each Sunday.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Administrative
Services

Volunteers are needed on Sundays and during the week to help with attendance, make copies, make phone calls, prepare posters/bulletin boards, organize supplies, clean toys, be greeters in the education wings, etc. Flexible times and days.

Help care for the youngest children during services We need volunteers during all worship services. 1 1/2 hours/1-2 times per month.

Serve in Sunday School, VBS and other programs. Volunteers needed for all ages from preschool to 6th grade.

Assist Lead Teachers in providing an enjoyable experience for the children. 1 1/2 hours on Sunday/1-4 times per month.

Fill in for teachers when they need to be away. As needed for Sundays and for our Wednesday night program.

Provide music for younger children during the last 15 minutes of the second service. 15 minutes on Sunday/1-4 times per month.
