SPC is a church blessed with a significantly active, serving, and loving population of senior adults. This element of SPC’s membership that includes their family and friends are highly important to the life and ministry of the church. This group of faithful believers demonstrate a generous spirit of service that includes specialty groups like the knitting ministry of prayer shawls, prayer chain, sanctuary guild, grounds and building improvements, serving on committees, and having fun. The name of the group, The Triple “L” folks, speaks maintaining a higher quality of life marked by a depth of spiritual |

relationship to God through Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Triple “L” stands for “Live Longer and Like It.” Some of the activities one can join to participate in this focus for quality of life include lunches with excellent programs held in Harper Hall, day trips to area points of interest like Augusta, KY, the Toyota Plant in KY, and the State House in Columbus, and week long trips such as our trip to the Biltmore Estate in NC. The senior adult group is a close knit group that continually checks up on each other and meets together in smaller groups for meals and activities in the community. Senior Adults who become a part of this ongoing ministry of the church will find a place of life, support, encouragement, interesting events, and spiritual nurturing. You are welcome to be a part of it. |
