“Let the children
come to me, and do not hinder them.”
Sycamore
Presbyterian Preschool (SPP) is an important part of
Sycamore Presbyterian Church ’s
mission outreach to the community.
Sycamore
Presbyterian Preschool is one of the few preschools
in Ohio that has received a prestigious Three-Star
Rating (the highest rating available) by the State
of Ohio’s Step Up to Quality childcare rating
system. This places SPP in the top 2% of all
childcare centers in Ohio. Our program meets
or exceeds criteria set by the Step Up to Quality
program and ensures the highest quality of care to
the children enrolled at SPP. Many areas are
considered before this honor is awarded, which
include staff/child ratios and interactions, staff
qualifications, curriculum, staff/parent
communication, health and safety, and
administration.

Curriculum
SPP’s
child-centered curriculum provides developmentally
appropriate activities for children of any
developmental level. The daily hands-on
activities cover all areas of interest and learning,
including science, math, reading, writing, sensory
exploration, music, exercise, block building,
manipulatives, art, small & large group learning and
free choice.
SPP’s curriculum
encompasses the Early Learning Content Standards
developed by the Ohio Department of Education, and
assures that our curriculum leads directly into
Ohio’s K-12 Content Standards.
Our program is
designed to provide a loving, caring Christian
environment that is supportive, nurturing, and
responsive to each child’s individual needs.
We believe that the whole child is very important.
Each child’s total development includes positive
self-esteem, as well as spiritual, emotional,
social, mental, and physical growth. It is
important that your child be provided an opportunity
to develop in each of these areas at his/her own
pace.

Registration open to everyone, and a
non-refundable $50.00 fee is due upon registration.
