Silent Auction

Theme Basket Ideas

Please stop by the Silent Auction Table in the connector and choose a HOT PINK paper posted on the board with ideas for a basket OR use your own ingenuity to develop a basket.

Please have your baskets/items delivered to us by August 25, 2008. Remember to fill out a blue sheet located on the Silent Auction table. Items may be placed under the Silent Auction table with completed blue sheet.

Silent Auction-Hearts and Hands

We are so grateful and blessed to have so many talented individuals who donate handcrafted items like quilts, stained glass, afghans, painted furniture photographs, etc.

Vehicles Needed

Do you know someone who would like to donate a car/van/truck for our Silent Auction? It can be claimed as a tax contribution for 2008!

Be A Game Sponsor!

Would you like to donate $50 or more to help underwrite the cost of a Lawn Fete game? Your family name will be displayed as the official sponsor of the game and you will have the knowledge that you helped to make our day a success. Please make checks payable to Sycamore Presbyterian Church and note Lawn Fete Games donation on memo line of check.

Still Needed:
Treasures & Trinkets, Toys, Books, Auction Items

Every Monday at the manse, beginning at 5:30 p.m. we will be sorting and organizing the “stuff” for Lawn Fete. All women are welcome to come and help. Dinner will be provided.

Every Sunday the Lawn Fete storage facility will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to drop off your items. If you have items to drop off during the week, you can leave them on the storage facility porch. If you need larger items picked up, please call the church office for arrangements.

Items NOT Accepted—Computer equipment, large appliances, TV consoles or cabinet types, stereo equipment , cribs, baby seats, most exercise equipment (newer and not so large items are acceptable) encyclopedias, piano and organs, carpeting, doors/windows, tires, building supplies, mattresses, pillows, lawnmowers that do not work, Christmas trees.

Sycamore Market Place

The ladies will be meeting Tuesday August 12, 19, and 26 at 1:30p.m. in the kitchen of the church to make “mixes in a jar”. All are invited to help and enjoy our fellowship. We will appreciate all your homemade baked goods, jellies, jams, etc for the day of Lawn Fete.

Sponsor a Trophy For the Car Show!

Have a business? Want to sponsor a trophy for the car show? We are looking for sponsors to donate $30 toward trophies to be presented to the winning cars at the car show. Would you like to advertise your business in the “goodie bags” for all of the car show participants? Make check payable to Sycamore Church, memo line Car Show Trophy.

Food Donations

As usual, sign up for food items for the Chicken Dinner and the Snack Booth will be at the Church beginning Sunday August 17th.
