Welcome

Sycamore Presbyterian Church Lawn Fete has a rich history beginning in 1907 of fellowship and service.  It has evolved from an afternoon ice cream social to a festival for the whole family that includes activities for everyone.  Through the fun fellowship enjoyed by members and friends in the community, the proceeds of Lawn Fete support designated local, national, and international missions, as well as, providing funds for a designated project for Sycamore Church.

Each year, proceeds from Sycamore's Lawn Fete are used to support those who are less fortunate. This year, 50% of the proceeds will be distributed to the following charitable activities:

The Wesley Chapel Mission Center operates in Over-The-Rhine area to help improve educational success, to make better citizens, and to assist in developing youth to become quality employees for Cincinnati by sharing Christ’s love and teachings.

Happy Church in Breathitt Count Kentucky,  an Appalachian Project which ministers to one of the neediest areas in the United States.  Sycamore’s on-going effort, both financially and through hands-on mission work, has major emphasis on the youth of Happy Church.  (Sycamore Student Ministries participated in a mission trip to Happy Church in July 2011.  The mission trip furthered the spiritual growth of our youth and was partially supported by 2010 Lawn Fete proceeds and Lawn Fete lightly used Yard Sale items.)

The remaining 50% of the proceeds will fund new furnishings, computers, games, etc. for the Student Ministries new area over and above what is provided in the new Renovation and Expansion budget.
